hi mel - i hope you are feeling better tonight! Your package (and Jenni's) made it out on Greyhound this afternoon. So you should get a phone call on Thursday for pick up - but you might just want to head to whatever one you usually go to if it is that busy.

I'm off to scrapbook - going pretty well - I just need to put on the right music.. :)

did it make it? do you have the box of goodies... definitely put the chocolates in the frigde for storage... I've made a bunch more chocolates since I sent the packages - I made milk chocolate fudge truffles and peanut butter milk chocolate truffles - they taste like reese peanut butter cups... I tried them, but haven't over indulged... I'm on a downward slide on the scale and want it to remain consistent - I know - lots of ways to gain over the holidays but I wanted to go into the new year at a certain weight and I'm still aiming for it. I will not go any further to reduce the risk of jinxing myself... :) I hope you are better or on the mend - Michael was ober sick today - he threw up twice and it was nasty! super super nasty! The first I barely held it together - the second time I was an old pro... I just hope he gets better soon. There is a lot of flu in Quesnel and we are just waiting for the round that hits our house.

The mom front - here's the version I got - she was called by the Dean of the school and told she was accepted yesterday. She starts the path to doctor school in January... lord lord lord - she was given third year status and now has to take approx 250 hours in consultation and training - she will then work with a naturopath in September to gain the rest of her certification/doctrate.. she mentioned something about disertation and it being optional and I just listened and kept my mouth mostly shut... she didn't get into a lot of specifics with me but she did say the school was in Montreal and that she never had to go there unless she wanted to do the disertation - with those details I found the school - Alternative Medicine College of Canada - it is the only school I could find for Montreal and Naturopathy - the list of options are exactly what she described to me...

I don't know what to do with all this - do we support her, as she would likely support us with our decisions in life... do we question why she is choosing this - what am I struggling with - I can't imagine calling her doctor of anything - and I know that she wants it so bad that she will stop at nothing to at least have some kind of paper (regardless of what ink was used on it) to get this added to her name... flip side - being the economic development person - here are the opportunities - she graduates from this program and has whatever kind of certification and opens a practice - she will need someone to run it - this might be a chance for me to move out of business helping and do something enjoyable - yes, I know - this is crazy and full of risk but if I know anything about mom she is going to go after this like flies on shit until it is done - oh and to give you a good laugh for tonight - she healed dad's shoulder... she told me that she could heal michael this afternoon - to which I said - it's just the flu - don't worry about it... LORD - goodnight and sweet dreams...
